Description: The village of Porano rises on a hill opposite
to the town of Orvieto and gives you a good view of the whole city
of Orvieto. It has the typical features
of walled town, with the medieval nucleus surrounded by town walls
that are still preserved. In the town center there there are some
beautiful sixteenth-century palazzos. The municipal territory,
frequented since remote times, contains a few vast Etruscan burial
grounds.
