BargaDescription:  The town of Barga has ancient origins and had great importance since the Middle Ages thanks to its flourishing manufacture of silk threads. Barga looks medieval even if including some Renaissance buildings. It is a famous tourist destination and offers many attractions such as the Cathedral, the Arringo garden, the church of the St. Crucifix, the Palazzo Pretorio, the Civic Museum, the Church of St. Francesco, the Loggia dei Mercanti and many more. In the town center many antique and handicrafts workshops continue the traditional wood, ceramic and iron working.
