Description:
Modica is a city in the Province of Ragusa,
Sicily. Modica rises on some spurs of Iblei mountains (South Eastern Sicily), is one of the most picturesque towns in Sicily
and, along with Val di Noto, is part of UNESCO
Heritage Sites in Italy. Modica is
divided into two parties: Upper Modica and Lower Modica. The town
mainly looks late Baroque, almost entirely dating back to
post-earthquake (1693). What makes the city so unique and
fascinating is, first of all, the baroque aspect, of which the urban
design and the historic center of Modica abound, as well as the
presence of spectacular staircases, alleys and picturesque streets, full of old shops, huts
or rich palaces.

a Christmas crib featured by 60 terracotta statues belonging from
