Santa Margherita Ligure is a town of 10,000 inhabitants in the
province of Genoa located on the beautiful and famous Riviera di
Levante in the north west of the promontory of Portofino, in the
Gulf of Tigullio. Santa Margherita Ligure”offers every thing you

next to traditional fishing boats. It is also the location for
important maritime sports activities, such as sailing, rowing and
scuba diving, and of social events such as the hosting of great
international regattas.
Ferries to Portofino and other destinations depart from

Nearest airport: Genoa, which is 35 km from Santa Margherita
and can be easily reached via the motorway. From the tollbooth at
the airport, take the A10 eastbound and then the A12 up to the
Rapallo toll. Arrival and departure times can be found on the
airport website.
Nearest train station: Santa Margherita station is situated
on the Genoa to La Spezia line. Many trains run on this line
and stop at the station.

Public transportation: A bus service connects the center with
the nearby towns of Portofino, Camogli, Recco and Rapallo. 
By car: The nearest toll is at Rapallo (on the
A12 between Genoa and La Spezia), which is about 5km away from the
center of Santa Margherita. Following the signs to Santa Margherita
and Portofino, continue through the centre of Rapallo and then along
the coastal road which passes through San Michele di Pagana. There are around 450 paying
parking places in Santa Margherita. Prices vary according to the
time of year and length of stay. Parking tickets are available
from car parks or from the Tigullio transport kiosk and the
International Pharmacy.
By boat: Santa Margherita also has a
maritime tourist boat service which connects the town to nearby
locations. By boat it is possible to reach the enchanting towns of
Portofino and San Fruttuoso di Camogli, in the Cinque Terre, as well
as larger centers of Rapallo, Chiavari and Genova. Further
